Mind your P's and Q's

Ale is traditionally ordered by Pints and Quarts in England. So, in old England when customers got unruly, the bartender would yell at them to mind their own Pints and Quarts. The phrase "mind your P's and Q's" is believed to come from it.

Honeymoon

It was not easy to be father of the bride in ancient Babylon. Around 2000 B.C. it was the responsibility of the father of the bride in Babylon to supply the groom with constant supply of 'mead' - a honey beer for one month after the wedding. Since they followed a lunar calender, this one month was called 'honey month'. Today's honeymoon is actually a leftover of that tradition.
